Framing Edwin Brewer's Art

Tax deductible
Friends of Dreamland is a non-profit dedicated the the restoration of the Dreamland Ballroom and Taborian Hall in downtown Little Rock AR.  FofDL's goal is to reopen this beautiful space for public use and bring back the music and the party that once lived in the 9th St. district and to preserve history and art in AR. Recently a  spectacular series of paintings depicting a host of rambunctious jazz musicians done by Edwin Brewer (an AR born artist) was donated by his son-in-law Don Wood. The series was inspired by a Santa Barbara jazz club that gave Brewer the desire to completely reinvent his artistic style. Learning to use new media and techniques he painted these vibrant portraits. After a few years, the jazz club that influenced the creation of these works, and housed them, closed.
Brewer's relatives, daughter Audrey and son-in-law Don Wood, then sought a new and worthy place for the series of jazz paintings. Enter the Friends of Dreamland.
FofDL can't afford to frame all 8 of the portraits in this series which is why we need your help. So, this campaign was start to raise the money necessary to have them framed. We hope you will donate generously to help us preserve these paintings, one of the last group of works Edwin Brewer ever painted.
