This will be our first major campaign. A Rare Piece of Flamingo Groves' History. Which we had placed on our website, http://www.floridapast.com/4th-pg-citrus-labels-cans--more.html
With a reasonable price of $650.00 plus the shipping cost of 100.00.
Since posting this, I've had a few folks question the "Worth" of this Rare Crate.
When a person has been doing something, Full Time, as a living, for 40 plus years, that person gains Much Knowledge of what is and what isn't. Through all those years, FloridaPast has Sold hundreds of various citrus crates, ranging from 25.00 to $1,500.00.
Depending on how Rare, meaning how many are out there. Many Collectors silently have been buying these up through the years. They'll come into a show we'll be selling at, ask us the price, hand us the money, and away they go. While others want history and some kind of story to go with it. The latter would be me. I Want to Know History. Knowing History of Any Given Item, raises it's value in most instances.
As time allows, I'll be adding more to this.

Since our start of this campaign, we've already raised just around 100.00, which we will personally Thank Each and Every Contributor on Facebook.
Just recently we were contacted by the Historical Department of Flamingo Groves, asking if we could donate this Wonderful piece.
In a Heart-Beat we would have, if we weren't still trying to make a living.
So we placed this Floyd Wray, Flamingo Groves' Field Crate on Hold, until we fine-line this campaign. {Update 6/17/2017} - We were contacted by an out of state Collector, wanting to purchase this piece of Florida History. So time is of essence to get the funds raised to donate to Flamingo Gardens. Always Best to Keep FloridaPast History here in FloridaPresent.
This history Must Be Preserved, for us today, and them tomorrow.

Hello,
My name is Dennis and I am considered by many, to be the real "American Picker".
For over three decades I've traveled across the country salvaging historic treasures from estates, sales, auctions and flea markets.
Searching the dark corners of attics to the depths of the basements where the real "Treasure" was found. Our history! And to be honest, reflecting all the way back as a young boy, I would dig the old bottle dumps and sell bottles to a local Antique Dealer. Today I wonder what I had given away. But, that's another chapter.
Since it's our business buying and selling antiques we occasionally run across historic items. Rather than putting these items up for sale we would love to donate them. Though anything we have up for sale Is Donatable via. our GoFundMe for History Campaign.
Many local historical societies and museums lack the funds to purchase these items. Reality is, this is how we make our living but, with your help we can donate these items on your behalf.
We hold some Rare Treasures from around these Great States of America and WorldWide.
For everyone that donates any amount of money here, we'll be using those funds to pay for the historical item(s). Either for a particular campaign, or for the entire cause of Preserving History.
Once our original costs are covered we wil donate that item to the proper organization on your behalf.
Our inventory ranges from old photographs, documents and other historically significant items.
Age has crept up on me and time is flying by so lets' get these items to where they belong. Lets all have a part in preserving our history.
Today, more than ever, Our History Must Be Preserved and Shared. Only "We" Can Do This......
