House fire
On the morning of January 8th 2019 , my grandma woke to an officer telling her and my family to get out of the house that there was a fire. A passing officer had seen the smoke before anyone inside knew what was happening and stopped to get everyone out. A few days prior their basement had flooded and maybe the fans overloaded the circuit but a fire broke out in the attic and made the home unlivable. If you know my grandma Georgene you know that this is total devastation for someone so unselfish and loving. With that my grandfather carl (a military veteran) has dementia and hes not quite sure what to think of what's going on and just wants to go back inside but cant. The red cross was out quickly to help but they can only put my family up for a couple of nights while the officers said it will take a couple of months if not longer to make the home habitable again . They will need help with money for the hotel until the insurance can figure out what's going on. If you can help God bless if not please share so we can get them taken care of. She shouldn't have to worry about money because of this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
