Sweet Pepper's surgery

He seems to be doing great! He eats food whenever he feels up to it, he's pottying in the kitty box (and making a huge mess), he snuggles, everything. I am so amazed and blown away at his amazing recovery.
You see, the moment I found Pepper in the condition he was in I literally felt my heart break in half and sink to my feet. His mouth was stuck open because it was broken, and his eye was about to pop out of his poor little head and then an enucleation was performed (where they remove the infected eye), he had been laying on the side of the road for so long trying to get home he had fly larvae in his mouth. But after over 24 hours he made it home to the same spot in the yard where he lays everyday when I come home from work because he knew his momma would find him. The humane society has more than generously helped with a portion of his bill. Total veterinary bills equal to $4,146.30 just for his hospitalization and surgery, this does not include whatever it will take to fix his teeth but Pepper is worth every penny. He's not just my cat, or just a cat for that matter. He's almost like a dog in a cats body if you will, he's loyal, he loves me, his best friend is a dog, all I know is in blessed he got such amazing doctors and such a strong will to live.
