** FF Fox Takes on the 10KM GEAR Challenge in Fire Kit!**

On Sunday 3rd May, FF Fox from Long Sutton Fire Station will be taking on the 10KM GEAR event in King’s Lynn to raise funds for Rainbow Nursery (Long Sutton) and The Firefighters Charity.

As if 10 kilometres isn’t enough of a challenge, he’ll be completing the entire course wearing his service fire kit. Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue are fully supporting him and have granted special permission for the use of operational kit for this fundraising event.

This protective kit is designed to shield firefighters from intense heat and hazardous environments — meaning it’s thick, heavy and far from ideal running gear. Taking on a 10KM run in it is no small feat and FF Fox is pushing himself to the limit to support two incredible causes.

Who You’ll Be Supporting

• Rainbow Nursery operates within the grounds of the University Academy Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. It provides a warm, nurturing environment across two purpose built mobile units. One dedicated to babies and toddlers, and the other to pre school children. Their work supports early development, learning and care for local families.

• The Firefighters Charity provides vital clinical, physical, emotional and wellbeing support to the UK’s fire and rescue community and their families. From injury recovery to mental health support and life after service, they help firefighters adapt, heal and thrive through life’s challenges.

Every donation will be divided between both charities and will directly contribute to creating a significant, positive impact. Thank you for your generosity and support.
