Forever home for Teddy

Donation protected

The cover photo is of an abandoned dog I found, whilst dog walking with friends on an isolated beach,  with a gash to his leg which needed urgent medical attention, hungry and dehydrated, he was looking desperate. Some boys had been throwing heavy stones at him and he was very scared.  I managed to get him into my car and he just sat quietly, relieved to be safe. I took him straight to the vets where he was dewormed, deticked and given antibiotics.  He definitely was a pet once, we will never know the reason why he was abandoned but it was obvious because he just loved company and was extremely affectionate.
The next day he was back to the vets for a General Anaesthetic to stitch his wound to the leg. He had to have a lot of stitches and the vet had to make various cuts, surrounding the wound to release the pressure.  Teddy still remained sweet natured, throughout it all.
Unfortunately, I cannot keep Teddy after his rehabilitation but  he is so kind, everyone comments on how handsome he is – he’s a real head turner, very sociable and loyal.
I have tried to find local adoption or fostering help, with no luck. There are an enormous number of stray dogs here in Bahrain and they endure terrible suffering. The rescue centres here are completely full so I was feeling so sad for Teddy.
I was put in touch with " Rays of Hope' for dogs in Bahrain.  They have relocated 85 injured stray dogs to Canada/USA to specific rescue centres who are dedicated to fostering and adoption. All 85 dogs that have been sent to such centres have been re-homed into a safe, loving environment. If you like " Rays of Hope" page on FB you can see all the lovely photos and stories of the dogs in their new forever homes.
I would love for Teddy to be one of those dogs who could get to run in open fresh air spaces, tail wagging, loved and happy.
But this comes at a cost. I have happily covered medical costs but to fly Teddy to a new life, I am asking for small donations to help cover any future expenses. If you have a few pounds/BD's  or more to help Teddy on finding his forever home, the smallest amount would help and it would mean the world to him and me!
His journey and costs will all be shared and if we get enough donations we would even be able to help more vulnerable stray or abused dogs finding new forever homes.
Thank you xxxx
