This young man is Mike Lamb, known to friends and family as Lamby. He is the most kind hearted, down to earth man you will ever come across. Lamby is a very popular guy who served nearly 10 years in the army and also worked as a paramedic. He has helped a lot of people through bad times when they were in need of help. Lamby has battled cancer over the years and had beaten the horrible disease. On Christmas Eve he got the worst news you could possibly imagine. His cancer has returned and not only that, it has spread in other areas of his body and Lamby was told it's terminal and could only have a month to live. As you can imagine this news is absolutely devastating for him, his family and friends. Lamby had just got engaged to his girlfriend before finding out this terrible news.

This time Lamby needs some help so if you are able, please may I ask that you help out his family at this very sad time. It's doesn't have to be a lot, just any amount would be greatly appreciated. This money will help his family to travel from South Africa to be with him and also to support them with financial constraints.

All  money raised will be presented to Lamby's mum or fiancé Barbara directly!

Thanks again

Some of you may be aware of the sad news that Michael passed away today. You have all been instrumental in helping raise a fantastic amount of money. This was a great achievement for a great man. Lets not now forgot what Lamby would want being the unselfish man he was. To that end lets not stop now, or stop donating. Barbara and his family deserve all the support we can give them. We will be organising a fundraiser in order to help out with dates to be confirmed. Lamby was a man who touched all of our lives in a special way, a nicer man you would not find. A brave man right to the end he still put other people first, and for this reason we will never forgot him. Once again thanks for all your help, this is not the end of this journey, lets keep his memory alive by carrying on donating and helping his family by any way we can.

As some of you are aware Mike and Barbara were able to get married last week with close friends and family. Through these tough times there was a moment of happiness that they could all share. Mikes treatment unfortunately has not shown an improvement with him feeling worse for wear as each day passes. Although we have raised a considerable amount we are still short of our goal for Lamby and his family. This money has been a great help to them and it would be great if we can complete the task we set out and get the £15000. Im sure every message and donation brings a smile on the faces of his family members and shows the appreciation we all have for such a great man, who would no doubt do the same for us. Please dig deep, share and help a great man and his family.

Hopefully Lamby will be able to look at all your kind messages when his feeling upto it and I'm sure he will be overwhelmed!

I was on a course with Mike a couple of years ago. I was seated just next to him and though I didn't know him very well he made an impression on me. He won a promotional 5.11 cap on the course for getting the highest score on our ACLS exam but when I mentioned I liked the style of the cap he gave it to me. I still have it :) I have donated and shared the page. Try to stay positive guys, I can't imagine what it's like.
