For Philip who lost his life

Donation protected
It is with an inconsolable and broken heart that I must face the future without my soulmate Phillip. We found love 16 years ago, only to lose our way and end our marriage in divorce. But love prevailed and we were recently engaged and planning our wedding in Cozumel next June. That day in paradise would begin our new journey together, forever.  It was to be our second chance to love more deeply and make all of our dreams come true. But now that cannot be…

Phillip was taken from all of us who love him when a semi-truck crossed the median and struck his motorcycle causing a chain reaction collision with two cars. My only small comfort comes from knowing that he could not have seen this coming and that he passed quickly and with no suffering unlike his friends and family who are left behind.

My life and the life of our 11 year old son is forever changed. Wyatt will grow up without the support and guidance of his father. No child this young should be forced to endure and struggle to comprehend the painful loss of a parent. Every day will be a struggle as we learn to accept to our new life and to keep Phillip’s love alive in our hearts.

Please help me to show Wyatt that there is still good in this world and that there are still many people who love and care for him. And though this love will never replace his father it will help him to grow into a man who will make his father proud. All donations will be used to help Wyatt reach his full potential in the future.

Phillip loved life, riding his motorcycle, scuba diving and exploring the world but most of all his family. He would not want this tragedy to be the way he is remembered. And he would not want it to end the hopes and dreams of everyone who he cared about. Remember him in happy times and help his son to keep his father alive in his heart and in his thoughts with a smile on his face and enjoying life.

I want to thank all that have donated.

(written with the help of Kathy, a dear friend in our time of need)

Philip:  May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
