From Alaina's mom, Kathy:
"Word has gotten out on Facebook and so it's time for me to let my Facebook family know that my daughter lost her battle with addiction today. My precious baby girl passed away at 9:23 this evening at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The entire staff was amazing and fought so hard to save her. I have been messaging and calling a lot of people throughout the day and I'd rather you hear it from me. If you message me and I don't get back to you, know I am comforting Alaina's friends who are hearing the news. They are children (in my eyes) and need me more. I am numb, in shock and emotionally bankrupt. Alaina's demons no longer plague her and the weight of the world is off her shoulders. I just wish she could have loved herself as much as she did others. I wish she could have fought for herself as hard as everybody else did. I don't know how I will face the coming days knowing she is no longer here. Rest In Peace baby girl. I love you so much."
On behalf of Kathy and Alaina, we at Hope Soldiers have opened this page to help lay Alaina to rest. Alaina's light was infectious and she touched every person who came in touch with her. Please join us in our efforts to honor this wonderful, beautiful soul.
