On January 31st 2018, Christopher Foley was one of the victims in the Amtrak and garbage truck collision. Unfortunately, Chris lost his life. We here at the company lost a friend and a brother, his one year old son and mother of his child lost a father. We have set up this page to help Mr. Foley's family, theres no amount of money that can replace a human life. Anything that you are able to donate helps the family financially through this horrific time. We are trying to raise enough for the family to cover funeral cost and help with some living costs. All the money will go directly to Mr. Foley's fiancée, Adriana Puentes, and his son Rylan.

Hi everyone!

Adriana has gotten some wristbands made and would like to extend the offer to send anyone on here a wristband if they'd like one.

Please send an e-mail via the GoFundMe if you'd like one. She'd really like to share them with you!

Thanks,
Joann

This past week and a half has been the hardest time in my life. Nothing can ever prepare you to lose the love of your life. No amount of money will ever replace Chris but the help and generosity of all of you, whether in a share, a donation, love, or prayers, will make sure that his son, Rylan is always taken care of. For that I will be grateful for eternity.

It has been such an honor to see the amount of people that Chris has touched in his 28 years of life. It has brought me true happiness to see just how loved he was. I'm not entirely sure he would believe so many people cared about him but I know he's out there somewhere in awe at all the kindness and love that has been thrown our way.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reaching out in every way possible.

Chris' mom, Catherine, wrote an update and asked that I share it with you all:

As many of you may know Kerry and I lost our youngest son in the amtrak/truck accident in Crozet, VA. He was the only fatality. Chris has left behind a loving family, partner, and 17 month old son. Chris was a kind and gentle spirit, who liked to make people smile. He always lived his life in the moment. A lesson we could all learn from. The outpouring of condolences that we and family have received has been overwhelming. The Charlottesville community and others across the nation have come together to support and help his family and to express his service to the community. You see, Chris always found a way to his day mean something, and make others smile. He found a way to make his job bearable by reaching out to everyone he met on a daily basis. There is absolutely nothing that will replace my loving son, and I personally will never be the same,... thank you to each and everyone of you.

Chris' fiancé and the mother of his son, Adriana, wrote something for me to share with everyone:

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to express how thankful I truly am. I'm so extremely thankful for having the best support system in my family and Chris' family (whom I'm so lucky to get to call them my family). I am so incredibly thankful for the outpouring of condolences and grateful there are so many amazing people in the world thinking of all of us in our time of need.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the post, posted and sent us kind words and prayers, and simply just been there during this time. Chris' number one priority was making sure his family was taken care of, especially his son. The fact that so many people have come together to make sure his number one goal has been met is incredible. Chris would be so very appreciative of everything.

So thank you from Chris, his son, Rylan, and myself (his fiance). A special thank you to the amazing men and women from the train and community who rushed to Chris' aid at the time of the accident and did everything they could do under the circumstances. You will forever be in my heart right along side Chris.
