FMNF Employees Flood Fund
Hi I'm Krissy Miller. Myself along with Chandler and Maria make up the employees of the Forget-Me-Not-Factory, a shop owned by Nancy and Barry Gibson.
On Sunday, May 27 a devastating flash flood hit Historic Ellicott City for the second time in two years. The Forget-Me-Not Factory, affectionately known as The Fairy Store or The Bubble Store (because of everyone's favorite Barry the Bubble man), was no exception to the damage caused. Ellicott City's Main Street is closed indefinitely as emergency responders assess the damage and make the area safe again.
Unfortunately, this means Forget-Me-Not is closed as until futher notice. The owners and employees will be without work and fighting to make ends meet. We ask you to consider donating to keep our amazing staff afloat and help them in these harrowing times .
If you have never been to the Forget-Me-Not Factory here is a quick backstory of our home.
We are in the largest and one of the oldest buildings located in the heart of Historic Ellicott City, Maryland. Our building was built in 1771 but Forget-Me-Not Factory has called this home since 1985. The first floor is smallest with each above floor following the hill back and doubling in size.
Over the years we have created a collection ranging from Dept. 56 Villages, dragons, fairies, toys, jewelry, SnowBabies, costumes and more! To truley create an enchanting space for people to escape the outside world. We even have a player piano on the 3rd floor.
Every weekend we dress up to do bubbles & hand out fairy dust to children of all ages. Between the shop, owners & staff we truly make the store a place where fairy dust and bubbles meet to create shopping magic.
***Also they will be hosting an fundraiser at Stella Notte (8809 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043) on August 11, 2018 (Time TBD).

We will have lots items up for grabs, the will collection include: Department 56 items, Gund stuffed toys, Linda Bigg's Art, gift baskets, handmade fairy houses, flower crowns, dream catchers and more! Barry the Bubble man will be here along with a "real" mermaid.
Donate up to the House Elf tier or more to be entered in to a special raffle that day. We can assure you the prize will be truly magical!
All items will shipped to you after August 11th 2018 if they are not picked up at the Stella Notte Fundraiser.
How your donations will be spent
All donations here will be added along with money from the fundraiser on 08/11 and divided up in the following ways:
- 50% of all donations and funds raised will be going to helping the owners who have had to relocate their home and rebuild the shop.
- The rest of the money will be divided among the employees who have been busy crafting fun rewards for all of your donations along with exciting prizes to be won at the fundraiser.
