Flower Effect- Flowers for Seniors

Hi! I'm Yoshi. I own a floral design business in which I have created an off-shoot project; a way to give back to my community. It's called "The Flower Effect".
Caring for my grandparents these past 5 years has shown me how Senior Citizens lack access to fresh flowers. Some are on fixed incomes, and flowers are a luxury they cannot afford. Others simply do not buy them because it was something a spouse or loved one did for them on a birthday or anniversary, and their loved ones are either deceased, or living far away.
Studies show that fresh flowers ease depression, and relieve anxiety that some Seniors experience due to memory loss. Fresh flowers also inspire Seniors to increase their socializing, whether it be with neighbors, friends or care-givers.
Your donation will allow me to host, free of charge a floral design demonstration at a Senior facility. Whether it be a day care center, assisted living or senior community center in Orange County, Ca. The money allows me to purchase the supplies, and FRESH (not discounted, old) flowers as well as vases and containers. I donate my time, and do not profit from these demonstrations.
The money raised will allow me to host a minimum of 12 (one a month) floral design demonstrations, which will begin January 2016!
Bringing my grandparents flowers, always brings so much joy and life, and I see how flowers have benefitted them. I want to be able to provide this sense of love, compassion, life and community to all Seniors, and this is the best way I know how!
