Flood Recovery for my parents.

On March 13, 2019, Nebraska was hit by the "Cyclone Bomb". The worst storm on record that cause widespread flooding. One of those villages hit was my hometown of Dannebrog, Nebraska. This is where my family still lives. My parents, Chris and Lori Leonard, were one of the first to get hit by the severe flooding. The torrential rain on top of snow and frozen ground caused the creeks and rivers to swell. They exceeded the levees and dams causing massive water to surge down creeks and rivers passing through and around several towns and villages. The Oak Creek running through Dannebrog hadn't run out of its banks since 1984. Unfortunately, this was the year it would overflow and cause massive flooding in the little village of Dannebrog. My parent's home was ultimately impacted by this flood causing their entire basement up to the first floor to be filled with filthy flood water and silt.
The water has just receded and they are finally able to go see what damage was caused. On the west side of the basement the entire wall has collapsed. One of the main beams has to be supported by a jack to keep it in place. The furnace, hot water heater, air conditioner and all the ventilation systems will have to be replaced. The other less important things they will have to replace are groceries, the lawn, the porch flooring, and the cost for all the cleaning tools used. The initial estimate cost for all of the repairs will be around $15,000. I am setting up a fund to help them rebuild their home. If there is any money not used or left over it will be donated to the village of Dannebrog to help the other flood victims in the community to also rebuild their lost homes.
My parents don't like asking for help, so I decided to ask for help for them. They have done so much for me, this is the least I can do. I know within our community we always raise each other up in times of trouble, so I am asking this once for help for my parents.
