Flood Loss Devastation

My mother Maureen was watching my 2 nieces (Sara and Chloe) and nephew (Terrell) while their mother (my sister Ashley) and father (my brother-in-law Josh) were at the hospital with their day old baby.

At 1:00 this morning, my mother had to call 911 so she and the kids could be rescued because the rising river went over the bank and flooded the home. My mother's vehicle is under water along with Josh's vehicle. 

My mother and the kids left with just the clothes on their backs. No shoes. No jackets.

I am absolutely grateful and appreciative for the response, rescue, and level of professionalism provided by the Emergency Crews in Swanton, especially the ice rescue team for getting my mother and the kids to safety.

At this point, Ashley and Josh are still at the hospital with baby Luke. My mother was brought back to her house with the kids. Ashley, Josh and the kids lost everything, including the newborn stuff. 

Anything would help this precious family get back on their feet. The outpouring support has been absolutely appreciated.
