Flexible Seating in 4th Grade

Alright, let's take it back to where it all started. In April of 2017 I was lucky enough to attend a workshop lead on Innovative Classroom Design. After leaving this workshop I felt inspired and driven to create the best learning environment for my students. I immediately began working on my new classroom design for the upcoming school year!

During the summer of 2017 I spent TONS of time researching and creating my ultimate wish list to makeover my classroom. After one VERY long trip to Ikea I had all that I needed to start my transformation!


During the 2017-2018 school year I learned a lot about students and their needs at school. I learned that a flexible classroom design meets the needs of SO many learners! With over 30 seating options in the classroom students have choice and freedom to find a spot where they feel comfortable learning. Because of this, I saw a drastic improvement in engagement and collaboration in my classroom.



Now that the school year is winding down I've taken some time to reflect on what's worked and what needs to be changed to create an even better learning environment. By donating to my campaign you will be helping students for years to come! 

I'm hoping to add...

-- 2 Tables with rolling feet which will allow us to rearrange the room quickly to fit the needs of any project
-- 8 Chairs to accompany the new tables 
--1 High Top Table for students who prefer a standing or sitting work space
