Flaming Unidroids #15650 GoFundMe Campaign 

Flaming Unidroids #15650 from Morgantown, WV are “Into Orbit” with the FIRST LEGO League challenge for 2018-2019.  Members of the team include 4th-8th graders from: St Francis Central Catholic: 8th – Eli Debastiani; 7th – Wyatt Abbitt,  Alex Ostien, August Owen, Sawyer Rudy; North Elementary: 4th – Amari Knights; Mountaineer Middle School: 8th - Michael Kritschgau.  Coaches are Paul Kritschgau and Trevor Rudy.

The team competed at the MARS FLL Qualifier on November 17 in Morgantown.  They achieved the high honor of Core Values Award through Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition with a second place finish in the robot game with 96 of 400pts, and advancement to FLL Regional Finals at Fairmont State University Falcon Center on December 1st.  Their Outreach program visited SFCC 3rd grade STEAM class, Mountaineer Area Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry at Clinton District VFD, and West Virginia University Statler College - Engineering Family Day this season.  They have learned that “What we SHARE is more important than what we win.” Check out their instagram feed at @Flaming_Unidroids for a photo journal of the season.

The Flaming Unidroids #15650 completed a second place Core Values Champions Award in First LEGO League on December 1st at the Fairmont State University Falcon Center in Fairmont, WV.  This represents the #2 team out of 100 FLL teams across WV. They have accepted an invitation to attend the international Open Uruguay FLL invitational tournament by Plan Ciebal in Montevideo, Uruguay in May 30-June 1, 2019 and the Mountain State FLL Invitational at Fairmont, WV in July 12-14, 2019.

The team is grateful for the coaching, mentoring, expertises, and practice facilities over the past four years at WVU Statler College. As a team we have learned the fundamentals of engineering & programming, shared what we have learned with others, and expressed Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition in all that we do.  We have been inspired “Into Orbit” with our opportunities and are looking forward to spreading the word about West Virginia University Benjamin M Statler College robotics & engineering to Montevideo, Uruguay. We are the FLAMING UNIDROIDS and West Virginia ambassadors.
