Warning Band fans and supporters, this is to be our final update before this successful campaign is brought to a close as we’ll no longer be taking donations. Because of all you kind and generous supporters the original goal of sending Dany, Pau, and Ale to Berklee has been reached, and in addition we were also able to help with the costs of the ongoing private lessons which have been a big part of the girl’s lives and progress thus far. What great success! So, with the summer program at Berklee drawing closer it’s time to end our current fundraising journey.
First, to follow up on the last update, housing arrangements have been made for Dany, Pau, Ale, and their parents Luis and Monica. They’ll be in an apartment very near the Berklee campus in Boston, and we’re all thankful to have that work out for them.
And most importantly, the Villarreal family is so humbly and eternally grateful for all of your support, kind words of encouragement, and generosity. They are overwhelmed that strangers from all over the globe have come together and made a dream come true for the girls. Dany, Pau, and Ale will work very hard at Berklee to make everyone proud! They are also very thankful for your recent support to assist with the ongoing private lessons. To hear just how thankful and excited they are is heartwarming, and I for one am grateful that we could not only help those talented and hardworking girls, but we were able to help such nice people! So, on behalf of the Villarreal family, and from the bottom of their hearts thank you all very much!
In addition, all of us should take a moment to thank Ted Boylan. Some of you may know that Ted, a friend of the Villarreal family, began this campaign many months ago with the goal of course to get those girls to The Berklee College of Music. He knew how much it meant to them, and knowing they wouldn’t get there without help he set out to make it happen. Ted has been the driving force behind the fundraising, the founding of the web site, the promotions, the merchandise, and may other tasks. He has volunteered and worked tirelessly for many months and for many late nights behind the scenes so the Villarreals could focus on the music. So, from us fans happy to see great things happening for those talented girls; thank you Ted!
To keep up with Warning Band news in the future, visit the band’s website at www.thewarningband.com. Keep in mind there may not be much news for the beginning of the summer as the girls will of course be attending Berklee. Boston will be getting warned! Hopefully we’ll get to see a photo or two of the girls enjoying their studies there. That’s a hint mom and dad! While visiting the web site don’t forget that in addition to seeing news and videos of the girls you can still support them by purchasing Warning Band merchandise from the store. You can also post in the comments section, so let the girls know which songs are your favorites. And, I can’t mention the web site without thanking Win Squires of Triastrum Design and IT. To get a web site off the ground and supported continuously Ted needed an expert which he found in Win. We enjoy a great web site to visit thanks to Win’s personal commitment and professional expertise. Thank you Win!
So, as we draw what has been an exciting and successful campaign to a close, cheers to all of you wonderful supporters, and here’s to an unforgettable experience for Dany, Pau, and Ale at the Berklee College of Music! Safe travels Villarreal family, and young ladies; Rock Boston!
Any questions for the band or concerning promotions or fundraising efforts can be directed to Ted Boylan at boylanted@rocketmail.com.
Warning Band fans and supporters, the girls need your help! Housing accommodations for the girls and their parents for the Berklee trip have unfortunately fallen through. We need to find a place in Boston for the family to stay while Dany, Pau, and Ale attend the 5 week summer program next month. As there isn’t room in the budget for transportation (car rental) for the 5 week stay we need to find something very close so the girls and their parents can walk to and from campus. To that end our needs are fairly specific;
• The Back Bay or Fenway areas are preferable as they are very near campus. Something within a mile of Berklee would be best and maybe 1.5 miles at the most. Campus is located at Boylston St. and Massachusetts Ave.
• A furnished apartment is desirable over a motel/hotel so they’ll have a kitchen, laundry room etc.
• 2 queen beds and 2 bathrooms would work, but 3 beds would be better.
• Something with security would be fantastic, either an alarm system or on site personnel.
• We’d like to get them settled in July 3, 4, or 5, and they’ll stay until about August 10th or 11th.
If you know of anything or have any information concerning availability and price please let us know. Email Ted Boylan at boylanted@rocketmail.com and Luis Villarreal at luisvillarr@gmail.com. You may also email me by clicking on the mail icon next to my name.
Allexis news; Yesterday’s update contained the great news that Allexis, a lovely 11 year old fan of The Warning Band was to receive her needed liver transplant either last night or today. It is an understandably lengthy procedure so as soon as we get news on her progress we’ll let you know. Our thoughts and prayers are with her! To learn more about her, or to donate or leave a message of support, visit her gofundme page here; http://www.gofundme.com/fcmk3c. Get well soon brave Allexis!
Warning Band news; Since the Pal Norte festival on April 25th things have quieted a bit for Dany, Pau, and Ale. They have been finishing up their school year and of course looking forward to Berklee while their parents, Luis and Monica, work hard taking care of the planning. The girls have also continued to work regularly with their individual teachers. Those girls are driven to become better and better and even after the world class education they’ll get at the elite Berklee summer program they won’t stop; they’ll continue to work privately with their instructors to become the best that they can be. So, we’ll continue with fundraising campaign to help with the costs of the tutoring, which is about $1800 per month total for the girls. Their parents have worked hard and sacrificed greatly to get the girls to this point but financial resources have been depleted and maintaining their lesson schedule won’t be possible without our help. There are a lot of us supporters here, so a few dollars per month from each of us will go a long way to keep the girls practicing under expert guidance. We’re of course hopeful that the Warning Band will begin to generate the revenue to be self-sufficient someday, but we aren’t there yet, so let’s keep them practicing! And speaking of practicing, on The Warning's Facebook page you'll find a short video of Ale practicing arpeggios with her fantastic teacher Pablo, and I understand her little fingers have become strong and fast! Below is a video of the girls playing a Muse cover at the Pal Norte music festival. Please excuse the audio, we were only able to obtain cell phone footage. It's great though to see the girls on a big stage! Don’t despair at the girls performing a cover, the girls will be writing more of their own material! Let's hope that after the Berklee trip The Warning Band finds more opportunities to perform and entertain us with their great music!
Visit The Warning Band web site here http://www.thewarningband.com/ and click “store” at the top of the page to support the girls by purchasing Warning Band merchandise. It’s a win/win; you’ll look great in Warning Band apparel and you’ll be supporting the girl’s music lessons. Click on “media” to see media coverage of the girls, and of course you’ll find photos and videos of the girls including videos of them performing their original material live. And if you haven’t seen it yet, scroll down on the home page to see the video interview with Dany, Pau, and Ale. As always thank you very much to Win Squires of TRIASTRUM for the fantastic website we get to visit!
You can also shop at the store by visiting The Warning Band’s Facebook page and clicking “shop now” on the picture of the girls.
SPECIAL UPDATE ON ALLEXIS:
We have just received word from Liz Siebrecht, that Allexis, will be receiving a Liver from a donor late tonight or into the early morning, we are asking Warning fans to pray that the Transplant will go smoothly and successfully! Thank you all for your support for Allexis!... Ted Boylan
Dear Allexis, we all Love you! be strong little Princess! The Warning Band Family
Berklee news Warning Band fans! It was originally hoped that Dany, Pau, and Ale could attend The Berklee College of Music summer program in 2016. However, they are going this summer! Thanks to you fantastic supporters the fundraising was successful enough soon enough that they were able to get in this year! So, they’ll spend their July in Boston MA fulfilling their dream to attend the prestigious Berklee! The girls are so happy and thankful to all of you! The picture above says it all! And more news; Berklee has tailor-made a program just for them based on their level of expertise, which I’m sure we will all agree is quite advanced. They’ll get much more out a program targeted to their level than they would an entry level program. So congratulations girls! We know how you want to work to be the best musicians you can be, so have a blast!
Tuition has been paid and housing is being finalized. We’re continuing with the gofundme campaign as we would like to provide the girls with O-1 visas. Originally we budgeted for simple student visas for the summer program, however with the recent press, exposure, and performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show we’re hoping for more opportunities for the girls to travel to the U.S. (and other countries of course) to perform. The O-1 visas are expensive but they will allow the girls the access they need to perform and work in the states. Let’s hope they come to fill arenas in all of our cities! The visas are $5,000 for each girl in addition to the tuition, housing, travel, and food expenses that we campaigned for.
We would also like to continue helping with their education beyond Berklee. Dany, Pau, and Ale work with local instructors regularly. Their teachers are excellent and are part of what makes the girls excellent as well. While Berklee will be a fantastic experience and education for the girls they’re not going to stop working hard as they love it too much. Their parents have sacrificed greatly to get the girls to this point, but financial resources for those extra expenses have been nearly exhausted. To keep the girls working with their teachers as they have been we’re hoping to raise $1800 per month. There are a lot of us supporters here; a few dollars per month from each of us will go a long way to keep the girls practicing under expert guidance.
Personal news; since performing their live concert to debut their original music, a hectic recording schedule, performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and performing on a big stage at the Pal Norte Rock Festival the girls are back to their regular routine of school, homework, and music lessons. Part of their practice includes preparing for other local concerts but for the most part they’re back to their routine as young girls and students. What isn’t routine is how much they’re looking forward to Berklee this summer! By the way girls, and mom and dad, please send pictures! We’d all love to see them enjoying their Berklee dream!

And don’t forget Allexis! As you can see in a photo below, Dany, Pau, Ale, and their parents Luis and Monica would still like us to focus on another in need. One of their dear fans, Alexis, is a young girl suffering from a liver disease called Biliary Atresia. Alexis has had 8 surgeries in the past two years and has been placed on the list as needing a liver transplant. Time is now critical for Alexis as she has been on the waiting list since October 2014. A gofundme page has been established for Alexis. The financial goal has been met, but what Alexis needs now is a living donor! A "living donation" happens when a person who is alive gives either a kidney or a part of their liver to someone with end-stage kidney or liver disease. Living donation is often more effective for improving a patient's health than receiving an organ from a donor who has passed on. There have been over 500 living donor liver tissue procedures at Toronto General Hospital since 1990 with no donor deaths or any major, persistent complications. Helping this lovely little girl has become very important to Dany, Pau, and Ale, so they asked that we use their gofundme page to guide you to Alexis. Please visit Alexis’ page here to find out how to help her; http://www.gofundme.com/fcmk3c. You can also learn more on the Warning band website. Time could be short, so please, everyone follow the link to see if you can help. On Alexis' gofundme page is a link to email her mother, Liz Siebrecht, if you have any questions or think you can help.
Any questions for the band or concerning promotions or fundraising efforts can be directed to Ted Boylan at boylanted@rocketmail.com.
TV audiences have been warned! For those that weren’t able to see it we’ve reached our second original goal of the campaign. Dany, Pau, and Ale were on The Ellen DeGeneres Show! They were on Friday April 24th and earned a standing ovation from an excited audience after playing Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train! They were fantastic! They were also very composed and charming young ladies during the interview with Ellen. They did what they do best as the Warning Band which is being awesome and precious all at once! Visit The Warning Band’s website at http://www.thewarningband.com/ and scroll down to see the video of their Ellen performance. It’s 5 minutes and 27 seconds that you don’t want to miss!!! And, you’ll see that Ellen gave each of the girls a check for $10,000 courtesy of Target!!! Thank you Target and Ellen! That money will be used to establish a college fund for each of the girls. After all, after the Berklee summer program these young girls still have to finish elementary school, high school, and attend college! So, thanks to everyone who emailed The Ellen show on behalf of the girls, they are very grateful!
More about the continuing campaign; as you all know, we’ve also reached our goal of funding the girl’s attendance at a summer program at The Berklee College of Music. The girls are very excited as one of their greatest joys is continuing to work towards being the best musicians they can be. The picture at the top of this page says it all! We’ve covered tuition, air fare, room and board, meals, and expenses for one parent to accompany them. We originally budgeted for simple student visas for the girls, but with the recent press, exposure, and excitement for The Warning Band we’re hoping for more opportunities in the future for the girls to travel and even work here in the U.S. (and Canada and other countries of course). So, we’re continuing the gofundme campaign with two new goals;
-The first is to provide the girls with O-1 visas which will allow greater access to the U.S for the girls to travel and hopefully someday work. And by work we mean filling stadiums and arenas for concerts! Okay, that may be a ways off, but we need to give them access to the U.S. Those visas and fees are expensive so we want to raise $5,000 for each of them, for a total of $15,000.
-Our second goal is to allow them to continue with their daily music education. They each work with an instructor every day after school…. after doing their homework of course, and they love working hard! Their parents have sacrificed greatly to get the girls to this point, but financial resources for those extra expenses have been nearly exhausted. To keep the girls working with their teachers as they have been we’re hoping to raise $1800 per month. Their teachers are excellent, and they’re helping to make the girls excellent, so let’s keep them practicing! There are a lot of us supporters here; just a few dollars from each of us each month will do it!
I know we all hope for The Warning Band to be a big success one day, and we’re hoping that includes financial success for the girls. We’re all here after all because we believe in them. However, the band isn’t generating enough revenue to be called income yet. There are the expenses listed above, equipment expenses, and printing T shirts, photos, etc. and making the soon to be released CD all takes money. Until the band is generating enough revenue with merchandise sales, iTunes downloads, CD sales, and someday filling arenas in our cities to cover expenses, let’s keep helping. Dany, Pau, and Ale are so talented and maybe even more importantly they work so hard they deserve the opportunity to keep us warned!
Merchandise news! While visiting the website at http://www.thewarningband.com/ click on “shop” at the top to support Dany, Pau, and Ale by purchasing newly available Warning Band merchandise. You can also visit The Warning Band’s Facebook page and click on “shop now” at the top to take you to the store.
Don’t forget the CD is coming! We still don't have a firm date but we're looking at a couple weeks.
Personal news; Dany, Pau, and Ale worked very hard writing and practicing for their recent live concert where they debuted their original music. After a short break they’ve been working double time to record for the iTunes EP, CD release, and to make recordings to audition for Ellen at the show’s request. And, they performed at a large local rock festival on April 25th. Information for the event can be found here; https://www.facebook.com/PalNorteOficial. You can see them practicing on the big stage in a picture below. After a lot of long hours, hard work, and travel, the girls can now get back to their routine of practicing their craft with their music teachers after school. They are practicing for other upcoming local concerts where they’ll get more experience on big stages, but for the most part the girls can settle back into their routine and get some much needed rest!
Fun news! Visit The Warning Facebook page to see tweets about the girls from Kirk Hammett of Metallica and from the band Coldplay! The band Guns N’ Roses also commented on the girls here; https://paradisecity.com/post/552888fbd24930300e8b461a/

Other news; as you can see in a photo below, Dany, Pau, Ale, and their parents Luis and Monica would still like us to focus on another in need. GREAT NEWS! We have accomplished one more of our goals! The Warning Band WILL BE! on the Ellen Degeneres show tommorow! check the time and listing in your area, YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS !
Warning Band supporters and fans, you can see from the picture above that Dany, Pau, and Ale are absolutely thrilled about Berklee! It’s literally a dream come true for them and they are so grateful to all of you generous people! They wanted to express their appreciation to all of you themselves, and the picture says it all! What smiles from such great young people! The Villarreal family is eternally grateful and humbled beyond words!
While we can celebrate our goal of fulfilling the Berklee dream, we can still help them further. We’ve decided to continue with the gogundme campaign with two new goals;
1- Travel visas. We originally budgeted for simple student visas for the girls to attend Berklee. However, with all of the recent media attention, increase in popularity, and help with recording professionally we’re hopeful that The Warning Band will be presented with more opportunities to travel to and perform in the U.S. To give them those opportunities we would like to provide them O-1 visas which will grant them more access to the U.S. Our goal for funding the visas is $5,000 for each girl, or $15,000 total. We’d all love to see the girls perform someday in our city, let’s give them the chance!
2- Our second goal is to continue the current and ongoing music education for the girls. Luis and Monica have sacrificed greatly, as loving parents do, to provide Dany, Pau, and Ale with regular music lessons in addition to equipment needs. After many years of sacrifice financial resources are nearly exhausted. We’d now like to help the girls maintain their lesson schedule. Dany, Pau, and Ale are obviously extremely talented young musicians, and one reason for that is their incredible work ethic and fantastic teachers. They work hard each day after school with their teachers to hone their skills, and they remain dedicated to continuing that hard work to become even better. Of course the summer program at Berklee will be of great educational value to them, but they still have their passion for their daily lessons and practice time. Their instructors have obviously done a fantastic job with them, and Dany, Pau, and Ale are not allergic to hard work! So, let’s help them continue! Our fundraising goal is $1800 per month to continue the lessons. There are a lot of us supporters here; just a few dollars from each of us each month will do it!
To avoid confusion we'll be disabling the Canadian campaign and pressing on with the U.S. based campaign found here; http://www.gofundme.com/p9b98w
We’re still thankful that Victoria Records has signed on to provide professional studio time for the girls. We can now look forward to the best quality recordings, and imagine how good The Warning Band will sound now! Studio time is expensive, so thanks to Victoria Morales-Kuhne of Victoria records the girls will get the time they need. Remember fans, this “record deal” will allow the girls to expertly record their work but it is not revenue. We still need to help the girls as described above until they break through and their work and sales of recordings can generate the income needed to keep operating, and more importantly to the girls, to keep learning.
Merchandise news! Warning Band merchandise can now be purchased from the website at www.thewarningband.com. Just click on “shop” at the top of the page to purchase shirts, hoodies, jackets, caps, and iPhone cases. We hope to see more merchandise such as coffee mugs and posters soon, so keep watching! You can also visit The Warning’s Facebook page and click at the top on “shop now”.
Performance news! Dany, Pau, and Ale have been practicing diligently to prepare for some large, local live concerts. The first will be the Pa’l Norte Rock Festival on April 25th. You can find info regarding the festival here; https://www.facebook.com/PalNorteOficial. The girls will be playing with some big names and the concert will give them experience on a big stage! Exciting! Get good at the big stage girls; I suspect you’ll be spending a lot of time on them in the future!
Fun news! Visit The Warning Facebook page to see tweets about the girls from Kirk Hammett of Metallica and from the band Coldplay! The band Guns N’ Roses also commented on the girls here; https://paradisecity.com/post/552888fbd24930300e8b461a/
Visit The Warning Band’s website here; http://www.thewarningband.com/ and click on “media” to see recent news articles and media releases about The Warning Band. Don’t forget to post in the comments section and let the girls know what you think of their original work. As always thank you very much to Win Squires of TRIASTRUM for the fantastic website we get to visit! Win has been personally dedicated to the girls and has been professionally excellent!
Also, don't forget the CD is coming! We still don't have a firm date but we're looking at a few weeks.
Any questions for the band or concerning promotions or fundraising efforts can be directed to Ted Boylan at boylanted@rocketmail.com.
On behalf of the humbled and eternally grateful Villarreal family thank you all!
Hello Warning Band fans, this may be our most important update yet. Dany, Pau, Ale, and their parents Luis and Monica would like us to focus this update on another in need. And a desperate need it is. A gofundme page has been established for Alexis and the financial goal has been met. The finances are to assist with housing for her family to live near the hospital for up to 6 months should a donor be found and the procedure takes place.
What Alexis needs now is a living donor!
Helping this lovely little girl has become very important to Dany, Pau, and Ale, so they asked that we use their dedicated gofundme page to guide you to Alexis. Please visit Alexis’ page here to find out how to help her; http://www.gofundme.com/fcmk3c
Time could be short, so please, everyone follow the link to see if you can help. On Alexis' gofundme page is a link to email her mother, Liz Siebrecht, if you have any questions or think you can help.
Remember, Alexis’ financial needs have been met, so while donations are appreciated that’s not what we’re asking for. What she needs now is a living donor! We need to find someone willing to help with O+ or O- blood type, and between the ages of 18 and 45. That’s just the start though; other testing is required to ensure eligibility.
Dany, Pau, and Ale continue to work hard on their music, and there will be more updates coming soon concerning their progress, but for now please visit Alexis’ page, share the link, and spread the word for Alexis! Let’s get all the attention for her that we can so that a living donor can be found!
Dear Friends, Thank you for visiting this very worthy cause. My name is Ted Boylan. I live in Alberta , Canada . I’m a music lover and sometimes search YouTube for young talent to support. When I find awesomely talented kids, I sometimes help promote them by driving traffic to their site.
One day I discovered a nine-year-old girl from Mexico named Pau (short for Paulina). She was playing drums to My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson. Wow! I turned up the volume. Watching her drum was amazing, especially 2:59 when she drums while crossing her arms. Amazing. I think I watched it about six times in a row, at least twice daily over a one-year period. The best part was the very end of the video and seeing Pau clap her hands, with that beautiful smile of accomplishment on her face. She won my heart.
I have been diverting traffic to youtube and helping with comments. One day, my comments were answered by The Warning, thanking me. I was just so happy to help this young girl Paulina. And that’s when I learned she has two sisters, Daniela and Alejandra; The Warning is the name of their band. Daniela plays lead guitar and is an amazing singer. Alejandra is incredible on Bass Guitar. These three talented young sisters are amazing musicians and are amazingly close. When one is happy, the others are. I am one of their biggest fans and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these musical treasures.
The girl’s father, Luis, is an equally warm, sincere and humble man. Through Facebook and email, we became friends. They are truly a loving family with an incredible and rare bond. One day, we were discussing the costs of nurturing the girls’ musical talent. Luis admitted that paying for musical lessons for three girls is a challenge. From my experience it’s difficult enough for a family just trying to meet basic day-to-day needs, let alone trying to come up with the funds to purchase costly instruments and Lessons for 3 children.
Luis shared that the girls would love to attend a summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts and how badly he wishes he could enroll them, but cannot due to the cost. Luis, is confident each of them can earn a scholarship once accepted; getting them there is the first hurdle.
Luis and the girls have become like family to me. I’m inspired by the girls’ passion for music and incredible determination to share their talent with the world and that’s why I have chosen to provide whatever support I can. I invite you to join me on this journey. The girls are so close to making it big, but they need help from people like us. On behalf of Luis, Monica, Paulina , Daniela and Alejandra, please try to provide a financial gift—big or small—every little bit helps and would be greatly appreciated. To all the corporations and businesses out there who believe in supporting amazing talent, these ladies need you.
Update-the band is releasing some songs in March 2015 they’ve published themselves. Check out The Warning’s official website www.thewarningband.com and consider lending your support to help make the girls’ dreams come true.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE! Luis, Monica, Dany, Paulina, Alejandra Villarreal (The Warning Band) as well as myself, Ted Boylan (promotions manager), wish to welcome an incredible contributor as well as solid supporter to the Warning Band Team! We are proud to announce that Nick Warring has joined the team! Nick lives in Round Rock Texas, and has offered his time from his job and busy schedule to help the girls see their dream through! We are all very happy to have Nick aboard as a promotional writer! We have setup this U.S. gofundme account to make it easier for U.S. as well as International contributors to donate. We still have the Canadian account for Canadian contributors so it will be easy for them to show their support as well! Again Nick, we are all excited to have you aboard! You have supported the girls in many ways and they sincerely appreciate that!
You have a bit of a typo in the latest announcement. Have "Cakifornia" instead of California. :-) I live on the opposite coast, so won't be able to join, but I hope they rock the place!
Thank you for the introduction Ted. It's a pleasure and honor to be here among The Warning Band supporters and to be helping Dany, Pau, and Ale with their Berklee dream, and to be helping you with promotional writing and page updates. Like many of you I was introduced to the Warning quite by accident on YouTube. I was entertained by the great music but also fascinated by their expertise at such young ages. After watching all their videos (many times) and visiting the web page I was able to get to know Ted Boylan, The Warning's promotion manager, and even visit a little with the girl's father, Luis Villarreal. After learning more about the girls I was impressed with not only their incredible talent but their great work ethic as well. They work so hard, and they do so simply because they love music so much. The girls have terrific parents, Luis and Monica, that have raised such grounded, well mannered young ladies to be proud of. They have also sacrificed greatly to help the girls realize their musical dreams thus far, and I' hoping we can help get them a little farther. Ted has also done a fantastic job with getting The Warning's web page up and with getting the Berklee fund raising efforts started from his home in Canada. When the opportunity presented itself to help with the efforts by getting this U.S based campaign running I was more than happy to do so. Hopefully Ted and I, and all of you can make the dream of attending The Berklee College of Music a reality for Dany, Pau, and Ale. We have been warned! -Nick Warring, promotional writer.
Luis, Monica, Dany, Paulina, Alejandra and myself Ted Boylan, would like to welcome Nick Warring, to the The warning Band family! We are excited to have Nick, in our corner as there is much to do and with Nicks help we will get it done, so that the Band can Rock On!
