Fix our bathroom

My father-in-law needs to redo his bathroom. He's currently on in-home hospice and also needs someone with him round the clock to administer his medication. Ideally, my family would be moving in with him, at least temporarily, but we've run into a problem.
Most of the house has old knob and tube wiring. Beyond that, there's no shower. In order to make at least the downstairs liveable for everyone, we need to upgrade the bathroom.
A friend came in to replace the rotting floor with plywood and another friend will be fixing the leaking pipe this weekend, but we still need help extending the room, updating the electricity, putting in new walls, and (fingers crossed) installing a shower.
Materials and labor should be about 5k more than we currently have so any amount you can donate would be a huge help to all of us.
