'Fish Bowl' - Short Film

'Fish Bowl', an exciting short film produced by Requiem Pictures, is due to shoot in September 2016 and we need your help to make it happen!
We are an enthusiastic and committed team of young filmmakers, building towards careers in the film and television industries. Having worked together on numerous projects in the past, including our recent short film, 'The Arbor', we are really excited about 'Fish Bowl' - our most ambitious project yet.
Set in a working class community in the Rhondda Valleys, and written and directed by Shannon Britton, 'Fish Bowl' is a dark comedy in which a young woman and her family conspire to wreak revenge against her abusive ex-boyfriend. Combining gritty realism with dark humour, the film is an exploration of trauma, memory, and coming to terms with the past.
Predictably, filmmaking is expensive, even on a student budget, and raising funds to make an independent short film is always a challenge. We have been working hard and are delighted to have managed to secure the majority of our budget so far, but we need your help with the final push!
It has always been director Shannon’s dream to make a film in her hometown of Ferndale. She is keen to get as many young, local people involved as possible, and hopes that 'Fish Bowl' will provide the kind of opportunity to participate in the arts that she wished she had had more of growing up. The Rhondda Valleys are hugely underrepresented in British film, but rich in culture, beautiful scenery and a characteristically understated, Welsh sense of humour that Shannon is passionate about sharing with her audience.
We would be incredibly grateful to receive any sized donation, however small, as it is the support of friends, family and local communities that will make this project possible.
