Fired 4 removing Tom Brady Poster

Hi! My name is Solomon Chu. I was working as an underwriter for a financial services firm in the Wall Street area of New York and I was recently fired for removing a 6ft, life-sized Tom Brady poster in the reception area of my office at 8pm. I walked past this poster and thought this must have been a prank, a really funny prank but a prank nonetheless. That's totally inappropriate for the reception area, it's such a public place and the poster is huge! I felt my professional obligation and due diligence would be to take it down, so I did. I also threw it away. The next day I get a call into HR and coincidentally the entrance to HR is also in the reception area, right next to where that poster was hung. It turns out the Director of HR is a New England Patriots fan and this was HER POSTER! Dafuq!?!?! I immediately told her I thought this was a joke. I was speechless, I didn't know what to say because it just completely blindsided me that the HR Director would be the one to do this!!!! Some other things have happened but to spare you the details, I was fired on Wednesday, January 31st, citing events that stemmed from her unprofessional decision to put up a Tom Brady poster that's bigger than her in the reception area. How is this actually happening? In New York of all places!?! She fired a New Yorker for being a New Yorker IN NEW YORK! She fired an employee that thought he was looking out for the company's image! This isn't Boston! Don't get me wrong, I love Boston! But if someone in Boston put up a life-size Derek Jeter poster in the office, that's not ok! This is too ridiculous to believe. I am now unemployed, I need to pay my bills and possibly save up for what might be a lawsuit on my hands in case this lady that loves Tom Brady a little too much decides to retaliate.
