Fire - St. Augustine's Church

St. Augustine's Church in Marpole suffered much smoke and water damage as of a result of arson in the wee hours of Sunday, June 18th.

St. Augustine's isn't just a church.  It is a source of community outreach.  The Church provides delicous meals to people in the neighborhood each Thursday for 6 dollars. If you cannot afford to pay the meal is free, no questions asked. The Church also hosts Friday breakfast on the same premise.  Also, if you attend 10am service on Wednesday you are provided luch and fellowship.

Unfortunately, due to the fire caused by the car that was ignited and exploded in the underground, the Annex is now closed until all restoration work can be completed.. 

The community will not suffer in the long term, as there is an insurance policy. However, in the short term there will be no meals and the Food Bank will be temporarily re-located until the building is useable again. 

All funds raised will go directly to the Church. Our first priority is to continue to feed those in need.  Any excess funds will be used to purchase and install a security gate on the underground parking area.

All donations great or small will be greatly appreciated and if you cannot donate even sharing this campaign will help!
