Fire Disaster on Lafayette Apt.

Hello everyone, my name is Laila Ismail. First and foremost I am very thankful to God that my family and friends and everyone who lived in the apartment complex on Lafayette st. Buffalo, NY were able to get out safely.
At 1am today residents who lived in the Apartment complex were displaced due to a huge fire that broke out, leaving millions in damages.
This particular situation, as cliché as it may sound, hits home for me. About 15 years ago our family home burnt down and we lost everything in it. Due to the wonderful community I live in, without hesitation, everyone stepped in to help us. So I would like for us to do the same.
An experience like this is absolutely traumatic for everyone that's involved. Everyone I know in that apartment has children who are under 10 years of age. At one moment you're kissing your kids goodnight and the next running out for dear life. I can imagine the panic and fear going through every one of their minds. It's stressful.
Not everything can be replaced because some things hold a specific memory, special memories but lets help them make new ones.
They all have been through a lot and the stress of starting all over with no foundation is, well, stressful.
So let's please come together and help these families start all over. Anything given is absolutely appreciated.
We are currently working with one of the area banks to set up a temporay funds account which will be dispersed to each of the families. Thank You!!
