Finnlay Withington - US open, Boston

Finnlay is looking to raise funds to support a trip to the US Junior Open from the 14th-17th December in Boston. It is important for Finnlay’s development that he now looks for competition outside of the country playing against the best players in the world. The US Junior Open attracts a large entry and provides a unique chance for his development as a player to do so. In order to do so Finnlay needs to raise £1500.
Finnlay Withington is a young squash player from Bury, Lancashire. Finn is a very hard working, and skilful squash player who has in a short time achieved a lot. He shows all the attributes and desires to take his game all the way and pursue a career in the sport. He has been recognised by serval well esteem coaches such as Malcolm Willstrop and David Campion as showing what it takes. Finn regularly attends England national squads and is coached personally regularly by National Performance Coach, Josh Taylor and the England Institute of Sport Lead for Strength and Conditioning Coach for Squash, Nathan Wells. This shows he has a great support network and environment around him to succeed.

Represented England at the 5 Nations Team Championships
Highest ranking of England no.1 at the Bu11’s category, and 2 in U13’s and U15’s categories
A highest finish of 13th at the British Junior Open (BU13’s)
Lancashire County U17 and North West Regional U15 Champion
3rd place finish at the English Junior Championships and 4th place at the British Junior Championships
Currently ranked 11 in England with still a 20-month period left at the U17 age group having recently turned 15.
Winner and finalist on a regular basis at England Squash Silver Sanctioned events
