Luis and Andrea Ramirez kidnapped children Luis Jr. and Kahmila Ramirez on Friday, May 4, 2018 shortly after 11AM during a DCS supervised visit with the children. Luis and Vanessa assaulted and bound the DCS worker as they fled the scene. Their car was found near the US / Mexico boarder at Nogales, Arizona, along with the clothing the children were last seen in.
Officials said the couple had been arraigned on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Officials noted the couple's own children were not victims in that case.
Luis Ramirez, Jr. has been in the care of David and Erika Ramirez for approximately two years. Kahmila Ramirez has been in their care since she was four days old.
Andrea Vanessa Ramirez is described as a 28-year-old Hispanic woman with black hair, brown eyes and wearing a white shirt with denim jeans. Police said she is about 5-foot-1 and 195 pounds. She was last seen with her hair in a bun.
Luis Alberto G. Herrera-Ramirez is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic man with black hair, brown eyes and a mustache and beard (may potentially be shaved), wearing a white striped polo shirt and blue jeans. He is about 5-foot-6 and 200 pounds.
The 6-month-old, Kahmila Ramirez, was last seen wearing a white onesie with yellow ruffles. Luis Ramirez Jr., 5, was last seen wearing a gray and white polo shirt and khaki pants.
