Help me FIGHT the WAR on CANNABIS

Callie Blackwell, the author of The Boy In 7 Billion, has become one of the UK's leading lights in Cannabis activism and education.

The Boy in 7 Billion

In 2017 Callie appeared as a guest on a host of radio and TV programmes including, Loose Women and This Morning on ITV.

As her star has risen, so has the demand for Callie's hard won knowledge surrounding the subject of Cannabis, and how it can be utilised to assist a growing number of conditions and illnesses.

These demands have taken their toll, and what is not often understood is that Callie has to hold down a full time job five days a week, as well as attempt to answer the ever growing back log of emails, tweets, direct messages etc.

Callie also has to try and fit in time with her children and time for herself. Very often staying up until 4am working and waking up at 7am for her day job.

One thing that is worth knowing about the effect that this kind of work has on Callie, is that having already gone through the emotional turmoil of witnessing all of the treatment alongside her own child, every time another email arrives containing another plea for help from a frightened relative, Callie must relive everything all over again.

This GoFundMe account has been set up to allow Callie to take a short sabbatical from her day job, in order to get on top of all of the time sensitive requests for help and advice; As well as to fund a replacement car as Callie often spends a great deal of time travelling to meet families affected by prohibition, as well as to meet scientists in the field of Cannabis research.

Callie would never ask this herself, but please give generously and share this page with your friends and loved ones.

More recently, Callie was outside Parliament where she answered MP Paul Flynn's invitation to break the law.

And after attending Parliament, that's exactly what happened to Callie, her husband and Jeff Ditchfield, the man who helped them save Deryn's life.

Callie:
'Many people tell me that I should slow down and take some time for myself. I try to but the people who are seeking my help aren't going to stop finding me until WE WIN this War on Cannabis.

I made a promise to dedicate my life to helping others if my son were allowed to live... I can't go back on my part of the deal.

But...

I NEED your help.

I can't do it alone anymore. It pains me to ask for help, my pride is clinging on for dear life but I have to finally take my own advice.

'You can't pour from an empty cup'

I'm going to burn out soon if I can't get some time to get on top of things.

I am asked to meet people who want my help, to attend events, talks and expo's but I don't have the means to do any of that, nor the time as I have to work full time just to pay my bills.

My biggest dream is that one day prohibition is a thing of the past and I no longer have to be someone's last hope xxx

I don't want to be a criminal, I'm not trying to be a law breaker, I'm trying to be a law changer x

I am asking for you to donate as much as you believe my work is worth to you x

I don't have a target in mind, I don't like limiting anything's potential.
(GoFundMe made me pick one so this is how much I'd need to raise to have a month off paid work to concentrate on activism.  Plus a better car as mine's about to fall apart lol - got to dream big right!)

If you can help me out with a regular donation, even just the cost of a cuppa - that would be wonderful xxx

I am grateful for any help that is given willingly.

Thank you for your belief in me <3
