Fight Like Felicity

On Tuesday 5/9 Eric and Amanda Hartdegen's daughter, Felicity, went for her 4 month checkup. During the appointment her pediatrician was concerned with her soft spot on top of her head was puffed out and her head had jumped from 50% tile at 2 months to 90% tile.
That afternoon we were scheduled to get an ultrasound at SMH. They ended up confirming she was retaining fluid on the brain and they also had spotted a cyst. The pediatrician coordinated us with a neurologist at Children's Hospital.
So Tuesday evening we checked into children's hospital and they did a CT Scan. The scan was a shock because it showed the cyst was rather large in her skull. It measures 8 cm long and 4 1/2 cm wide. It's sitting on the left side and pushing the brain to the right.
On Wednesday morning Felicity had to get an MRI but since she's so small they had to sedate her.
The neurologist arranged a meeting with Eric, myself and our family at 5pm.
That evening we received devastating news that Felicity has several tumors in her brain along with the cyst and they have also spotted four tumors along her spine.
Felicity updates:
5/12/17
4pm rolled her back for prepping
5:20 Central line completed and foley is installed. Dr. Roberts -neurologist beginning his procedure in the 10 mins or so.
7:36. She is doing well. Surgery should be done in about an hour and Doctor Roberts will come talk to us.
8:30pm. Waiting on surgeon to come talk to us.
10:30pm. She has made it through surgery. They were able to drain the cyst, get three samples of the tumor. The tumor is hard and because of this they did not attempt to remove any pieces. Dr Roberts said she had minimal bleeding. Next step: Let her heal and wait for biopsy results to make the next step.

6:30 am. Keeping her in light sedation until a CT Scan can be completed this morning. Time TBD. She is showing good responses and her levels are coming back positive.
