fighting Jaidas' Leukemia
Donation protected
Jaida , her mom and brother have been homeless and have been living in one bedroom in my basement. About 8 weeks ago, Jaida got sick. fevers and breathing problems, tired and sleeping. She missed the last two weeks of kindergarten. The doctors gave her several different medicines but she didn't get any better. At first, they thought it was Mononucleosis. After multiples tests at the hospital (150 miles away) they determined it to be Leukemia. She has been going through Chemo therapy, spinal taps and transfusions.
The funds from this drive will help with transportation costs, motel rooms, food, and paying a baby sitter for Jaida's brother Truth. (He is just 3 and is too much of a handful to be able to be in the hospital visiting.)
Three people living in one damp basement room is not a good place for a family , even without Jaida's health problems. That housing situation is on its way to being solved. Jaida's mom has moved into a house which needs the very basics of furnishings. Jaida's mom does have a job, but misses lots of work due to treatments being so far away from home, and not knowing how many days Jaida will be treated in the hospital when she goes for her treatments.
