Fight For Stromboli

Hello. This is Stromboli. He is a 5 year old Greyhound and is now a retired racer. He was Rescued by Freedom Greyhound Rescue in Aurora Ohio, adopted by his loving owner and found his forever home. During a thunderstorm that rolled through the area, Stromboli got loose and made his way onto a major highway. Stromboli was hit by a car and sustained severe injuries. Myself and another good Samaritan were able to get Stromboli off of the highway and rushed him to the nearest animal clinic. Stromboli was then transferred to an emergency animal clinic due to his injuries. Unfortunately due to the high medical costs in order to save his dogs life, the owner was forced to surrender his rights back to the Freedom Greyhound Rescue. Stromboli is currently recovering and is not out of the woods yet. The goal of this gofundme is to raise enough money to cover Stromboli's vet bills and reunite him with his owner. This horrific accident has affected many and I cannot imagine the pain of having my dog hit by a vehicle, let alone then having to surrender my dog to save its' life. I hope that you can find it in your hearts to help reunite Stromboli with his owner and return him to his forever home.
