Liliane and I are part of a club that we hope no one else has to be a member of - The “Momcology” club, both having children with cancer. The first time I met Liliane and Jacob was Christmas Day and my oldest son Bryce and I were running out of CHEO after being given a few hours pass. Liliane was delivering food to all the parents on the Oncology ward. Liliane gives and gives to everyone but now it’s our turn to pay it forward and help support their family in probably their greatest hour of need. I feel the need to help as I have sat and slept in that same ICU chair Liliane is now, watching the beeping and flashing machines, the dedicated ICU team doing everything possible to save your child, your baby. You feel so helpless but let’s allow them to focus on Jacob and not have to worry about anything else! We are hoping to take as much financial strain off Jacobs family as possible. This amazing family has been through so so much already and this is how we can help them. We invite you to Google "Jacob Randell CHEO". The first 4 pages will tell you everything you can possibly want to know about our young friend and his family: Everything about his messed-up story and his amazingly strong family. You may notice stuff about his baby sister suffering from & surviving the same horrible AT/RT brain cancer that he did at age 5 or the fact that she is only recently 5. You will notice many things. What we noticed most is that the first 4 pages were about our young 14-year-old friend. THE FIRST FOUR GOOGLE PAGES…
Tonight, once again, Jacob is fighting for his life. His parents Jason and Liliane are exhausted. They have been fighting to save their own children’s lives for the past 11 years.

Tonight, Jacob is in ICU… sepsis shock due to a biopsy complication… a surgery that for all intents and purpose went well, until it didn’t.
We do implore you to Google Jacob Randell CHEO. You will be knocked off your feet by this amazing young man and you will quickly see why we once again are asking you to be part of his army of love. We beg you, please look up to the stars tonight, take a deep breath and send out your very best intentions to the Universe. Jacob and his family need our united heart, our hearts, and our love. And if you are a person who prays, please please please pray for our friend.
I promise you, Jacob Randell is worth your time.

Let see how much we can raise for them so that all they have to focus on are their beautiful 3 children and getting Jacob back home.

Thank you!

Update from Liliane below. Keep praying, sending good vibes and sharing this campaign.... I want to take all financial
worries off this’s one of the only things we can really do to help. Xoxo

“Certainly not the day we were prepared for. Sophia's surgery was postponed until tomorrow and unfortunately her body told us tomorrow was too late. They are not sure if Sophia started having seizures or suffered from Hydrocephalus but it was a scary watching her come in and out of consciousness. We witnessed some scary things today and I have seen my children go through too many traumas. I don't know how much more Jason and I can take.

An emergency drain has brought Sophia some temporary relief and she is resting comfortably in ICU now. Tomorrow she will go in for her surgery.

Sophia, like her brother has been the definition of brave.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Thanks so much for everyone’s support! Some new developments so sorry for not updating in a while. With heavy hearts we report that both Jacob AND Sophia have relapsed. Keep sharing and donating as what this family is going through is just so unbelievably hard right now. Jacob is only just out of ICU and now Sophia has to have more surgery which will likely put her back in ICU. Both kids are sharing a hospital room right now.
Here’s an update from mom Liliane.

Busy day in the Randell Suite. Sophia in scheduled for surgery tomorrow. It's going to be a 20+ hour once again. Second time is not going to be as easy and the tumour is much bigger than the first time around. We reviewed the procedure and images of the tumour with the surgeon today. It is unfortunately on the outside and inside of the brain and made it to her spine. It is devastating how fast and furious it grew back. Today, we prepped with scans, head marks with a bit of hair shaved off, and some family time. Jacob starts chemo tomorrow so it will be a stressful day/night for all of us. We have all our trust in the surgeons.

Sophia stays by Jacob's side and encourages him as he does his physio. His own little cheerleader by his side. ❤️

We unhooked my babies today and took them outside. Jacob took his first breath of fresh crisp air for the first time since January 24th. We keep our focus on Jacob's recovery with the goal to bring him home in the near future. We will hope for the best for Sophia, we realize and acknowledge how bad it is now and will hold on to hope and believe in miracles.

Liam, my poor Liam is feeling lost without his siblings but it's march break for him and we will keep him busy. We have amazing wonderful friends and family taking care of him. He is loved. ❤️

I have the most beautiful, amazing, strong, courageous children in the entire world!!! ❤️
