Heart beats for Becky

***Mindy started this page 2 years ago and received the financial help she needed.  But currently they are experiencing financial difficulty as the Lymes keeps Mindy from working and Becky continues to go thru many appointments and procedures.  If you are able to help or to spread this page, we would greatly appreciate it!! Financial stresses unfortunately add greater pressure on Becky and Mindy as they both work to beat their diseases, daily. *** My daughter, Rebecca Reinas, beat the odds 4 years ago.  She woke up a normal, healthy 14 year old but by the afternoon she was being medivacked to DuPont Children's Hospital. Her heart and her kidneys were failing her. Some of the best doctors in the US did not expect that she would make it. With all of the testing science had to offer, there were no answers as to what may have caused this. But with these amazing specialists and the help of a couple surrounding hospitals, Becky was stabilized after 6 months of living at the hospital. Becky finally came home. But she came home with the understanding that toward the end of high school, she would need her kidney replacment. Her heart was getting strong enough to carry her through that. However, the time for the transplant is here, as planned. What was not planned,  is that her heart did not do as well as needed on her stress test nor her ECHO. Chances are that Rebecca may need a heart and kidney transplant. I have been out of work for about a year now due to  my advanced Lyme Disease and all of our appointments and hospital stays. The Lyme specialists and medications are not covered by my insurance.  We, also, now travel 2 hours each way, three days a week, for Beckys hemodialysis treatment. As you can imagine, these are extremely expensive times. Unfortunatly our savings is all but diminished.   We hate to ask for help, but egos aside, we must. Any help is so so greatly appreciated.
