We grew up together, with pigtails and matching clothes sewn by our mom. We never thought that one of us would ever hear "you have cancer".
Yet, we wake up today knowing our beautiful baby sister is battling ductal carcinoma.
Diagnosed on January 25, 2017, Cammi will begin chemotherapy treatment on February 03. Due to the severity of the cancer cells, she will undergo many cycles of aggressive chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation.
The treatment for this type of cancer will take an incredible amount of determination, and she is determined! Cammi is a 33-year-old mother of 4 amazing young children. These four sweet faces are all the reason in the world she needs to 'fight like a girl'!
Cammi works full time and supports many of her families finances. She may not be able to work due to symptoms from chemo and the toll that will take on her body. From chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, genetic testing, travel, pharmaceutical and medical expenses Cammi and her young family are facing a daunting financial hardship. Every dollar counts and will directly support Cammi.
If we as a community of family and friends can relieve Cammi and her young family of the burden of financial stress associated with her diagnosis it would be incredible.
