Ferndale Eagles Pop Warner National







The Ferndale Eagles Y.A.A. is a premier organization of young boys and girls aged 5 to 15 years old, serving Ferndale, Michigan and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to enable young people to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. We teach fundamental values, skills, and knowledge that our youth can use throughout their lives. We encourage our young athletes to excel in athletics, while encouraging the value of scholastics, sportsmanship, and competition. Our goal is to touch as many young people as we can. The kids within our organzation come from various socio-economic backgrounds, with more than half coming from low-to moderate income level households.

Our Unlimited Football Team (ages 12-14) and our 8U Football Team (ages 7-8) are State Champions for the Southeast Michigan Pop Warner Football League, advancing them to the Mid-America Regional Championships. Our Junior Pee Wee Football (ages 9-11) was selected to represent Michigan as well in the Mid-America Championship. Our Pee Wee (ages 9-11) Cheer Team won 1st Place in the Regional Cheer/Pom Competition and our Varsity Cheer/Dance Team won 2nd Place in Dance Theme and 3rd Place in Cheer Hip Hop. Our two cheer teams and the Jr. Pee Wee Football teams have been chosen as the Midwest Regional representatives at the National Championships held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida from December 2 - 9, 2017. The Unlimited Football Team has 2 games left in Michigan City, Indiana to make it to the National Championship. These games are being played consecutive weekends in November now. 

We must prepare to get 4 teams to the Pop Warner National Super Bowl held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida from December 2 – 9, 2017. As we prepare for this task, we are looking for donationas/sponsors who are willing to donate any dollar amount to assist in covering our major expenses for Nationals.  Transportation being the biggest challenge. Our fundraising efforts have been successful, but minimal. We have sold pizza kits, currently holding a bottle drive, and on the weekends, the kids go out in uniform with their coaches and “Shake The Can”.

Transporting these 4 teams would require the use of 2 motorcoaches. The total cost for the buses would be $25,000 ($12,500 each) to travel from Ferndale, MI to Orlando, FL from Dec. 1-9, 2017. In addition, it costs $550 per athlete to participate in the Pop Warner National Super Bowl. These young athletes have worked hard all season long to get to this point, and we just need help making it happen.

We are up against time, because the play-offs are so close to the National Championship. We need to secure the buses by November 28, 2017. We are hoping that whoever sees this, will help make this happen for these kids. Anything you can give is a blessing. Our website is www.ferndaleeagles.org
