Dubbed "DMV's largest African Cultural Festival" with over 8,000 attendees. FestAfrica! is a FREE Annual 2-day African Festival hosted by Afropolitan Youth non-profit to Celebrate the Heritage of Africans, Caribbeans and African-Americans with various community members.

Created to enlighten and build community awareness about Africa and its rich culture through the Live Performances, Honors Awards, Fashion shows, Comedy, DJ jamboree, African food, Vendors, Arts & Crafts and Family Fun.

FestAfrica = Community Diversity + Business Growth + Cultural Awareness + Networking Opportunities + Enriched Maryland Community 

This year's, 15th Annual 'FestAfrica 2017′ to be held on Saturday, August 12th & Sunday August 13th from 1pm to 8pm in downtown Silver Spring at Veterans Plaza is FREE and open to all! An exciting showcase that celebrates the thousands of cultures and customs found in Africa, attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience one of the world's greatest continents - without ever stepping on an airplane! Bring your lawn chairs, dress in your favorite traditional clothing and bring your family and friends to this free annual event that you DON'T want to miss!

FestAfrica is hosted by Afropolitan Youth Association which is committed to engaging and encouraging youth of African heritage to promote and advance the development of Africa and the diaspora through community service activities.

Afropolitan Youth Association (AYA) - is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our Mission is uniting and empowering African youths for a positive future. The group consists of young Africans students and professionals in the United States. The primary purpose of AYA is to empower young Africans residing in the surrounding Maryland-District of Columbia-Virginia communities to be nurtured into responsible, well-adjusted and productive leaders.
