Jakayla Dixon, a North Texas teen, is a budding entrepreneur with an original idea. Thanks to the help of her parents, Angel supporters like you & Junior Achievement, Jakayla is on her way to making the dream a reality.
Here's her testimony:
"What started out as a class project has became a full business venture for me. said Jakayla. "With the assistance of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, I obtained 5 patents for my idea before I obtained my drivers license!"
She has named her company Feel the Color. The product is a fabric clothing specially designed to help the visually impaired. Through extensive research, Jakayla has learned that the needs of the visually impaired vary and she has designed tags to meet those needs, including the needs of those who are colorblind! Further, the patents she holds will allow her to expand on both product and service offerings to the visually impaired as her company grows. To accomplish this, she needs capital. Jakayla is asking for your support by funding here.
Jakayla has already won a number of awards and accolades in the North Texas area, including Junior Achievement Company of the year in her region. Her company is now a national finalist for Company of the Year and will travel to Washington, D.C. shortly to compete for that prestigious award. She needs her community, family, friends, neighbors, and angel donors like you to support her in her efforts!
