Feed Yemen

Salam Alaikum (Hello),
We are raising money to feed families in Yemen. As many of you know, there is a huge famine and what is available is very expensive and unattainable for many families. Many of these families are having to choose which child to feed and many mothers are so malnourished that they can't feed their babies. As well clean drinking water is a problem and many are dying from Cholera.
The country is in a horrible state of war which has caused this man made famine. With bombing happening weekly and at some points daily. With Ramadan nearing we would like to help as many families as possible. Many men, women and children will not have the means to have any iftar (dinner).
Last year Alhumdallah we were able to help just over 100 families. This year unfortunately the situation for the people in Yemen is even worse. We would love to be able to help more this year.
Our family has made a commitment to help at least 250 families through the 30 days of Ramadan. We are not working with a charity so all the money collected will be sent to directly to Yemen and used to buy bulk amounts of food. It will then be trucked by my brother in law, nephew and some friends to some of the poorest areas and given to 250 or more families.
The bulk foods to be purchased are rice, flour, sugar, oil and dates. Every family will receive the following:
10Kg Rice
25Kg Flour
10Kg Sugar
2Kg Dates
4L Oil
We would like to send the money so the families can have the food for the beginning of Ramadan. Insha Allah (God willing) this will carry them through the month and help them have Ramadan Kareem (Happy Ramadan).
It will only cost you $30 to help a family for a whole month, many of which will go with out anything.
We have only 2 weeks untill the start of Ramadan so we would like to send the money on May 14th. Any remaning donations will be sent May 21st.
We will give you updates once we have taken the food to the families. Insh Allah (God willing) this will include photos and a video.
