Feed the Substation Fire cattle

Donation protected
I’m starting this because people are asking where they can send cash and supply donations for so many different things on the fire. The money collected on here will go to the owner of the 200 head that survived the fire. They might need to buy hay for just under a year to support the cattle at their short and long term homes until the fields grow back and fences get rebuilt. The family is very grateful for everyone’s help.

Adult Cows eat approx 25 lbs of hay a day. 250 cattle x 25 lbs = 6250 lbs of hay a day approximately. 6250 lbs daily/2000 lbs per ton = 3.25 tons a day.  3.25 tons x 30 days monthly = 97 tons monthly. 97 tons monthly x 6 months = 585 tons.  585 tons x $200 per ton = $117,000 for feed.

These are are not exact I’m just trying to show how quickly this will add up.

im starting the go fund me account at the $10,000 to help get the hay for the cattle for the immediate need and for the winter months.

Please help with what you can. Me, the family and the cattle thank you in advance.
