Our U17 Boys Team and our U17 Girls teams have both been accepted into the Del Sol Presidents Day Showcase Tournament in February 2019. As exciting as this is for our players, many of them find the costs of travel to be a deterrent. We are hoping you can help with making a donation to cover accommodation/meals and/or travel costs for this exciting opportunity.
We have created two playlists which relay the positive experience playing with FC Blazers has for our boys and girls. One of these is of our U17 Boys team who won the 2018 Needham Memorial Day Showcase Tournament and who will be competing in Phoenix AZ in February. FC Blazers Soccer Club was founded in 2007 by Francis Okaroh. ex Nigerian National player and former MLS Cup Winner and Defender of the Year with Chicago Fire. At it's core, the mission of FC Blazers is to train young soccer players to compete and perform at their highest level, to advance their technical skills and mental toughness while also developing a passion for soccer. We are a small club with limited financial resources and we rely on fundraising, donations and volunteerism to support the club mission. For many of our players this next level is Division 1 College and beyond. Our players come from backgrounds that are diverse both culturally and economically and over 60% of our players qualify for reduced fees. Exposure to as many college coaches and scouts as possible, starting at High School age, and having the opportunity to be recruited to play at a college that will work for them is our primary goal for all of our players. Getting invited to play at high exposure tournaments both Regionally and Nationally provides them with the first step on that pathway.
