Father & Son DEFEND WORLDS TITLES IN KOREA 2019

Blake  & Derek would love the opportunity to defend their World Titles which they currently hold.

** Blake: 2 x World Junior titles in Haidong Gumdo, 1 silver and 1 bronze in Taekwondo.

** Derek: 1 x World Senior title and 1 x Best Westerner in Haidong Gumdo.

We are reaching out for donations to help towards this father and son team heading to Korea in July 2019. Both have been selected to represent Australia at the World Mulimpia which are held every 2 years in Korea where athletes compete in Haidong Gumdo (Korean Swords) and Taekwondo Martial Arts.  Mulimpia is expected to be highly competitive with many countries from around the globe sending their star athletes to fight for glory.  

This father and son team (Blake and Derek Murray) need help to get there in pursuit of their dreams! Both athletes attended Mulimpia in 2017 with amazing results.

In preparation, we have clocked up many miles travelling to interstate events for greater exposure and much valuable experience. Blake has put in the hard yards training 5-6 days each week with at least 1 competition each month.  
** Blake has a list of achievements already which include:
2 World Titles 2017,  Ipswich Sportsperson of the Year 2017, Australian National Taekwondo Champion titles,  Oceania titles, Haidong Gumdo Nationals titles, many State titles in both HG and TKD  and has represented QLD for years in both Taekwondo and Haidong Gumdo. 
** Derek is also a high achiever with titles at Worlds, Oceania, Nationals and State Competitions.

 All monies raised will go towards their expenses associated with this trip: $9000 is our direct outlay to the Haidong Gumdo Australian Federation, then entry costs for Mulimpia, uniforms and hopefully a little spending money.
