For Fat Cats

My brother, Douglas Lawson, lost his life and business partner, Payal Patel, last week. Payal's dream was to create an organic and vegan-friendly dessert, ice cream, and coffee shop in Austin. With her incredible hard work, and the support of Doug and her family, Payal's dream - Fat Cats Organic Coffee and Desserts - was realized on August 10, 2015. Payal poured her heart and soul into Fat Cats, and her warm and beautiful spirit is everywhere - from the top hat light fixtures that she designed and built to the delicious Mexican chocolate cookies - her own creation and signature dessert. As Fat Cats approaches its one year anniversary, it faces an uncertain future. It needs a new baker, a new manager, and time to get back on its feet. This campaign is for those who love Payal and Doug, but also for anyone who wants to help Fat Cats find its footing. Like any cat owner knows, it will find its footing in time, but sometimes we all need a little help.
