Farm Toys for Tots
$7,025 of $5,000 goal
Mission: Farm-Filled Christmas Joy
100% of the proceeds of this very merry crowd-fund will be used to purchase toy livestock haulers and other farm-themed toys, and then we'll mobilize our network of farmers and ranchers around the country to distribute the toys to Toys for Tots drop-off locations from sea to shining sea.
Farmers and ranchers make up less than 2% of the U.S. population, which means agricultural literacy is more important than ever. As the 2015 Holiday season approaches that literacy is at stake again as vegans petition Wal-Mart to stop selling what they call a "slaughterhouse" truck.
Although news outlets have called the ERTL Big Farm Livestock Hauler a "new toy," farm families across the country know better. The toy, in one incarnation or another, has been a staple in the collections of boys and girls for generations.
Rather than engage in negativity this holiday season we decided to spread cheer. For Christmas we'd like to help get Big Farm Livestock Hauler toy trucks and other ag-themed gifts into the arms of even more kids. By contributing to this crowd-fund you can help.

Thank you all again for your support! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas, too!
At more than 40% *over* our initial goal of $5,000, we've closed donations for this year and have begun the process of organizing distribution.
I requested withdrawal of the funds from Go Fund Me today (12/1/2015) and they give an estimate of 4-7 days for that transfer to take place. We'll use these next few days to get in touch with our volunteer farm elves and let them know how we plan to proceed in their area. So if that's you, keep an eye on your inbox this week and early next.
As soon as the funds are moved over to where we can use them we will place orders across the country. Volunteers will pick them up and document the drop-offs to their Local Toys for Tots for us with pictures. Which we will share on the Farm Toys for Tots Facebook page.
As always we cannot express our gratitude for your support in words; there just aren't enough of them. Stay tuned, and thank you so much for your help!
First I like to think of this as JOY for kids. Why do we in this day and time see negativity in children and this farm toy? We had these toys 20 years ago and never saw it in a bad way. We would just play and haul our animals. Why does our society keep so negative and see negativity in simple toys? I just think if we all stayed positive and cared for each other..the world be such a better place. Sad that one toy became evil in the eyes of many...with all the corruption in the world I would think we focus on other serious issues..not a toy.
