Terrie's Battle with Cancer

At the early age of 49, Terrie entered the hospital with severe abdomen cramps. After examination, it was determined that she had a blockage in her ascending colon and an emergency surgery was ordered. The surgery was successful and the blockage and part of her colon were removed and sent for biopsy. A few days later, our worst fears were confirmed...Terrie had cancer. More scans were ordered and hopes were dashed as we discovered that, even though the tumor was removed from her colon, the cancer had already spread to her lungs. Now, battling stage 4 cancer is what Terrie does every minute of every day. Even with that and having to endure an ostomy bag because of the removed colon, she keeps her spirits strong and remains a courageous mother to our 4 children.

There is good news. She is now on her third regimen of chemo therapy and the treament, so far, is keeping the lesions in her lungs from spreading further or getting larger.  The doctors say that if they can get the lesions small enough, they will then , possibly, be able to perform a procedure called cyberknife to remove the lesions.

We are holding on to all hope but the expense of the weekly chemo treatment, monthly equipment for her ostomy and the monthly prescription medications are  enormous. Health insurance covers a lot but we are still responsible for 30% of the costs and the anual $10,000 deductible. The huge medical debt, the monthly expenses and even the insurance premiums have grown beyond our means.  Any donation, if possible, to help Terrie's fight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance, The Bonds family.
