Todd died tragically February 5, 2019 after multiple failed heart surgeries. He was only 54. The surgeries were expected to be routine. While with his family in Traverse City on Christmas day he was taken to the ER. Shortly after arriving he was airlifted to WBH- Royal Oak for emergency surgery following his first surgery in October. Todd was not able to wake after surgery , as a result he was placed on full life support. It was undeniable the care he needed was beyond what the team at Beaumont could give him,. Once again he was airlifted to the Cardiovascular Center at U of M. Todd was strong and fought to stay with his family for 6 weeks. Our family is reaching out to family, friends and friends we have not yet met for help with funeral expenses and to forestall foreclosure on his home, the home he built with his wife Karen and 3 boys John , Rick and Robert for the past 27 years. Our family knows this traumatic and excruciating painful loss will touch many people as Todd was loved by so many his entire life. Todd was a kind, loving and hardworking man who always put his faith, family and friends before himself. Any amount donated is appreciated .
