As a recent Spring 2016 LSU Graduate and recent LSU Track & Field senior. I had just started my postgraduate journey and began a new job and internship with LSU Strength & Conditioning. I have overcome many obstacles and made a lot happen in my life by hardwork and dedication. Now I have another hurdle to clear. For years I have had bad migraines and vomitting spells in which I thought were normal and regular sickness. I found out yesterday after a visit with the emergency room following a sickness that I have been diagnosed with a Brain Tumor called a meningioma in my left lobe. It calls for immediate action. It is a large tumor around 5 CM. I am heavily in prayer that everything will be be in my favor. I received multiple x-rays, a cat scan, & MRI to confirm and get the most info. There is currently an excessive amount of pressure in my brain which needs immediate surgery. I have the best doctors in Louisiana taking care of the procedure. I will undergo embolization on Monday, June 11th & removal of the tumor on Wednesday, June 13th. I have received many texts, calls, and social media contact in regard, for which I am truly grateful. I hope to get through this without any motor function loss and a fast recovery. This is indeed a major procedure in which a part of my skull will be removed. I am reaching out for all moral and financial support as this is an extremely expensive procedure in which insurance does not cover 100%. Along and the following physical therapy afterwards. Any and all help will be much oblidged. I am a fighter and normally seen as a great image of good health. Once again, Thank you all! I could not get through this without any of the vast support! One more hurdle to clear! Another fight to win! God Bless!

As the year comes to an end, I sit back and reflect on everything that has transpired. I had a birthday last week that I would not have seen if it was not for God, OLOTL, and the hundreds of people who have supported me along the way. One more update to say thank you. I am now working in New York City for Adidas and EXOS Sports Performance as a Performance Specialist and Brand Ambassador. I would never have imagined being here after a turmoil filled 2016, but unwavering faith and continued support has gotten me to where I am. I did not reach my goal financially, but no monetary compensation can compare to life itself. Only 6 months ago, I almost lost my life. Plenty of people lost their lives to the same condition but I am blessed enough to still be here today. I have a new outlook on life and my goals. If you are reading this, do not wait another day to make a difference. Dont complain. Be grateful for everyday you are blessed enough to see. Wake up & be great. There is always a person out there who would love to be in your shoes. Faith Prevails. Make decisions today that will make your better forever. I am eternally grateful for my life and the continuous opportunities that I have been blessed with. I love you all and thank you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Be Blessed.

This past week was my first week back in full workouts. I am essentially out of shape, but I feel great physically and I am happy to be alive. I have an appointment on the 11th for a big follow up to se what's going on internally. I am feeling a lot better and I am extremely thankful for the continued support from family, friends, and even strangers. Since my last update, I've continued at work as well being featured in several news publishings. My story seems to be an inspiration to some and I am proud of that! I believe that we all have a purpose and motivating the next person to stay strong and never give up means a lot to me. I will be staying at LSU this year and continuing follow ups with my doctors here in Baton Rouge and working with LSU Strength & Conditioning. Once again, I love you all and thank you for your tremendous contributions and support.

This past week had its ups and down. I have doctor's visits coming up soon to check up on things soon. I had bad flare ups in the glands in the back of my neck, which usually indicates my body is fighting an infection or illness. So, we'll see the verdict next week. The week after, I have my followup MRI. Staying positive that all is well. I've done several more interviews and getting back to my regular schedule. Besides my joint inflammation & minor headaches, I can not complain. Especially considering that I am still alive with God's grace. My total hospital visit cost has gone up tremendously, so my fundraising efforts will continue. I'm currently taking everything day by day mentally, spiritually, physically, & financially. I am appreciative of the support of everyone & grateful for the prayers. Thank you all!! Continue to share!!

Today was my 2nd day back at work. It's been a taxing process because I've been idle for a long time now & not working out during the process. I've experienced some headaches and lethargic times, I'm managing them well nonetheless. My medicine makes me sleepy as well at times. The recovery process has still been amazing. My swelling in my head is going down further by the day and reforming to my skull. It feels funny at times but nothing abnormal. Being out of shape and having to move this slow is discouraging at times, but I'm staying positive and keeping my faith. It's just a process that I have to endure until I'm 100%. Thank you all for the continued support & donations! They are much needed! God Bless!

I had a meningioma removed from my right frontal lobe in March of 2012. My tumor was discovered after a series of seizures because I had never had them before. My faith helped me ride through my recovery with ease. No rehab. No OT. No PT. But God! Four years out every year on March 15th I celebrate my re-birthday because that was the day my life changed and I began to understand why God allowed me to have that experience. I wish you an easy recovery. Keep the faith and press on. God has a plan for you!

I can not tell you enough how thankful I am to have found your page. We don't know each other, but you and I went through a very similar experience TWICE in the last two years. After having several seizures and migraines, my doctors found a oligodendroglioma brain tumor in my frontal left lobe. Both recoveries were quite rough. I temporarily lost my speech and couldn't walk without losing my balance. After my surgery, my oncologist wanted to monitor my brain with MRI's every three months. Just last year we saw a new mass and that is when I had to go through it all over again. It was a blessing in disguise. I am so happy that you're surgery went well and you're recovery is going so smooth! I can't thank you enough for sharing your testimony with the world. Your positive attitude is inspiring to many, especially me. I will pray for you and your many years of good health to come.
