Fain Family Emergency Medical Fund

Donation protected
On Thursday, August 16th, Brooke was taken to the emergency room and had to undergo emergency surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy. She had to have one of her fallopian tubes removed. In addition to the physically painful experience this is, it is also incredibly emotionally challenging as well. Eric immediately left the tour he was working to drive home. Brooke and Eric are not currently insured so they will most likely be facing expensive medical bills in addition to lost wages with both being out of work while Brooke is recovering and trying to heal.

I (Braxton Matlock) recently faced medical challenges that included an extensive hospital stay, and Eric immediately stepped up and organized a GoFundMe for my family that gave us the peace of mind to not worry about expenses, and I was able to focus on healing. I can't adequately express how much his thoughtfulness meant to me in a stressful time for our family. Now is the time for us to take care of them. These are some of the best people out there, and they deserve to be surrounded by the same love that they fostered for our family.

We are also organizing a meal train, so if you would like to help in that way as well, it would be very appreciated!

Here is the update in Eric's words:
"Now that my wife is comfortable enough to talk about it and is recovering, I felt it necessary to make this post.
My sister took Brooke to the ER very early yesterday morning and she wound up having emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. Three incisions, two IVs and a blood transfusion.
When I found out what was going on I was in Oklahoma City prepping to check in merch for Slayer and Anthrax. After talking to Tiffany Ventura Billyand Richard Interlande I knew my only option was to rent a car and immediately drive home.
I am so thankful for my sister Erin Fain Swift. Without her swift (no pun intended) actions my wife would not be here with me today.
We are both still in shock, heartbroken, and working our way through this the best we can. Thanks to our family, friends and my coworkers I was able to get home to her bedside. She is home recovering now. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated and we hope to bounce back from this.
Unfortunately I won’t be returning to the Slayer Farewell tour but I will never forget the kindness of everyone out there on it for being empathic and caring human beings.
Hold your loved ones close. You never know what this world is going to throw at you."
