Save a disabled vets home and kids

Our family is made up of my two kids, my wife and two dogs.  I served 18 years in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, with over 110 jumps from planes and 2 deployments to Afghanistan.  Despite having TBI, bad knees, a bad back and feet to include a metal plate in my ankle, I was put out of service at 18 years without retirement because of my weight.  I wasn't able to run after the ankle injury so how was I expected to keep my weight down?  The VA low balled my compensation claim at 30% of which I have recieved zero due to the seperation pay I got when i was discharged.  I have hired a lawyer who is certain I will recieve 100% compensation but is unsure of when it will be heard.  In the meantime I am unable to work due to my injuries and have not paid a mortgage payment in two years.  We plan on moving to my hometown of Cleveland to get our kids near family but dont want to lose this house which would make that move more difficult.  I have recently found out that I need neck surgery very badly, and will not be able to do the things i did to keep our utilities on.  It is not easy for me to ask for help but at this point, I have no other way.  I know 20k is a lot but thats what it would take for my mortgage to be caught up, truth is any bit would do us a great service as it would buy a box of diapers or pay the water or electric bill.  God bless you.
