Body in Mind... IN SPAIN!

Hello clients, friends, family!

For the past 6 months I have been taking various continuing education courses to broaden my knowledge of the body and enhance my skills for my private massage practice. A very special opportunity has come up that will allow me to continue on this journey expanding my practice and get even more training to bring back to you. The best part? It's in Benicàssim, Spain!! 

The Bodywisdom Spain Congress happens every two years, and this year the focus is on how we move, even just in walking, and how that directly affects what we feel in our bodies and minds.  Even the name of my business, Body in Mind, embodies this very principle!

After three days of seminars and demonstrations there will be a two-day training on the spine. I'll learn advanced myofascial techniques to help relieve chronic back pain and spinal fixations, easing diaphragm and rib issues, while increasing spine mobility. This class is taught by the very accomplished and highly regarded Rolfer Til Luchau .

I realize this is a lot of money, but as an eternal optimist, I firmly believe that if you want something enough, you find a way to make it happen, and sometimes that means summoning help from your community. The money raised will help pay for the program itself, airfare, and room & board. The early deadline to register is April 1, then the price increases. I'll be looking at airfares in mid-March, hopefully buying them by April 15. 

My journey as a massage therapist has been transformational since day one when I started my training. I know I was put on this Earth to be a healer and bring relief to those in pain. Fulfilling this opportunity would enable me to learn from some of the top professional bodyworkers all over the world and gain insight into a field that is constantly growing. I truly love what I do, and to be the best massage therapist I can, I need to continue to follow these opporunities when they are presented to me.
