Fundraising for a disabled person

This is Bhanu Prakash. I'm from Albany,NY. I'm member in Andhrafriends.com site which is a social group chatting site on random stuff. One of my friends from Andhrafreinds site noticed this picture from a regional news paper and many of us thought to do some help for the person.
So here is what we decided to do. Some of our friends in India who are well known persons in Andhrafriends site are ready to collect money from the donations and going to do Fixed Deposit on the name of disabled person. We've set a goal of $10k and soon after reaching the target I'll start updating about the transaction from my account to our Indian residing friend's account and from there to making FD on the name of the diablsed person and remaining updates if there are any.
Just to let you know that our friends from India already contacted the old person and asked about the family status. They are very poor and his wife is a bed ridden patient. No care takers for them and he does daily labour by renting cycle rikshaw which doesn't earn even his daily bread & butter. So kind hearted people like you take a moment on this and can help him in the form of donations. I'll keep you updated with all the necessary info you need about this task. In our daily life we come across many people with many physical disabilities. some people who are financially better, can live by them selves or depend on thier family and some other who don't have any source of income unfortunately end up as beggars.
The old person in the photograph is physically challanged and going through tough times to earn his bread and butter. We do not have enough information whether he has got any family dependent on him.
The photograph above was published in an regional newspaper in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Good people like you all came forward to render some help to this old person.
It will be greatly appreciable if you people can take out some time from your daily chores and think about this person and help him in any manner possible.
and to do this I came across this GOFUNDME site to make it available for you all for your donations.
Every penny donated will be accounted for and we will keep you updated with all the updates happening towards this humanity task.
