Hello my name is Dean. I grew up in South Texas and now live in Austin. I’m 56 years old, a Christian man, and a veteran of the US Air Force where I served my country with pride . I recently learned I have a genetic condition known as Aortic Valve Stenosis. It is a narrowing of the valve that supplies blood to the body making the heart work harder. It has also caused an aortic aneurysm that could rupture at any time, causing death. Treatment for this condition is an open heart surgery to replace the valve and the affected portion of my aorta, as well as the aortic root. I will be having this surgery on December 1, 2023. I will not be able to work for a period of up to 3 months. I am asking for help in raising money for my monthly bills as well as any medical expenses that may not be covered under my insurance plan.
