On Friday, August 23, 2024, after battling what he thought was pancreatitis, a mass was found on David's pancreas. After receiving the official cancer diagnosis, David was ready to FIGHT! Since then, it has been a hectic schedule of chemotherapy and radiation, while still trying to maintain some normalcy with work and family responsibilities.
On Monday, June 2, 2025, David met with Dr. Martin at the University of Louisville to discuss next steps.
On Thursday, June 5, David is scheduled for a PET scan and exploratory laparoscopic surgery in Louisville. Dr. Martin is 80% sure that David’s cancer hasn’t spread, but doing the above will allow him to be closer to 100%.
Next, David will go back into chemotherapy treatment with the same regimen as earlier this year. Two treatments in June and July. This will ease David’s and Dr. Martin’s minds on anything spreading.
Beginning of August, he will undergo the nanoknife with the intention to kill the entire tumor plus some cells around it, ultimately allowing the larger possibility of David going into long-term remission.
This is the plan, and David is ready to continue his FIGHT!
Anyone who has met David, and the entire Miller family, knows how giving they are and how far they are willing to go to help a friend, plan a fantastic neighborhood event, cook you a gourmet meal... the list could go on and on! Now is the opportunity to lift this family up and help lessen the financial strain this diagnosis has put on David and his family.
