A Voice for the voiceless

Aloha
My dear friend Abigail Risica is a single mother of five children living here on the Big Island. Her eldest son Zander, age 19, has autism. He recently was diagnosed with Rat Lung Worm Meningitis. For those who do not know, this is a serious parasite that causes meningitis and neuropathy. This can be deadly and have several long term side effects that can severely impact his heath and well being .

Zander is non verbal so he can’t communicate how he feels. He is great pain crying often. He is unable to
control his bowels. He struggling to move around at home and sleep. He was admitted to the hospital, but unfortunately became one of the many victims without a voice and was pushed out after 24  hours because he was difficult for the medical team to handle him and insurance was not properly in place. He very well might be the first autistic person who has contracted this serious disease.
Abigail is currently treating Zander at home with her four other children and is humbly requesting support throughout this difficult time. We are seeking funds to secure Zanders treatment from home and to help this family establish a more secure home environment for her autistic son.
The funding will be used for the following :
Medical bills and specialist doctors visits
Homeopathic Medicines
Naturopathic Doctors
Physical Therapy
Water purification system to remove rat lung ( uncle tios Pahoa )
Medical supplies :Diapers, pads and proper medical bed
Transfer chair
Propane washer and dryer for sanitation
Materials to establish a full functioning kitchen
